Meet my latest Garden Party Girl, Maira Quinn. Maira is a school librarian, Girl Scout leader and Nancy Drew fan. She is a member of the Nancy Drew Sleuths club where she occasionally contributes to scholarly articles about Nancy's impact on elementary school readers. She is saving up her money to go on one of the club's sleuthing weekends.
Maira loves spending rainy weekends curled up next to the fireplace with her two cats, Bess and George, a cup of gunpowder tea and a stack of exciting mystery books. In nice weather she enjoys hiking and crafting projects with her scout troop while helping them earn their badges. Maira loves Girl Scout thin mint cookies so much that she stashes a couple of boxes in the freezer for summertime snacking.
Maira is available in my Etsy shop, PinkGingerKitty.
Maira is constructed of new cotton and muslin fabric in a mix of green, blue and cream prints. She has ribbon details and bright blue acrylic yarn hair securely attached in a curly bob. Her hand-embroidered face features brown eyes and a pink heart shaped mouth.
She comes with a removable pale blue felt coat and hat. Her hat has a blue felt flower detail and a green gingham ribbon loop. Like all my Garden Party Girl dolls, Maira is flexible and can be posed several ways. Her arms open wide for hugs or can be crossed to show a bit of spunk.
Maira loves this aqua jacket and hat set at PinkGingerKitty. She thinks they would make wonderful accessories for sleuthing.
Happy Friday to you!
