Meet my latest handmade doll: Madame Marie Fleur. Madame Fleur is a seamstress and fashion trend setter. She is French and keeps village fashion at a high standard through her couture salon. Always first to show the latest styles, her lovely frocks are known for their flirty ruffles and bows.
Marie is a romantic at heart and always wears pink flowers somewhere on her person. Today they decorate all her garments, from her hat to her shoes (her knickers match her coat lining).
Marie is made of muslin and cotton fabrics, with black acrylic yarn hair. Her partially lined blue coat and felt hat are removable. Ribbons decorate her hat, dress, and shoes. She is 22" in length, with flexible arms and legs, and stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfil.
Madame Fleur enjoys drinking a restorative sherry around 3:00 pm in her salon. Ladies in-the-know often stop by to shop and chat at this time while sipping a tipple or two with Marie. Consequently Madame's business is flourishing and the town ladies are celebrated for being exceptionally fashion forward.
